8 Best Employment Status Form

Through an employment status form, you are able to inform the Net Asset Value (NAV) of your work, activities or absence from activity in the last 14 days. The information listed in the form will be used to calculate payment of unemployment benefit, work assessment allowance and employment scheme benefit.

Another function of the information in the form is to assess whether you have receiving the correct follow-up from Net Asset Value or not, and whether the activity you have agreed with Net Asset Value should be adjusted because your situation has changed. Lastly, through this form, you’re also informed whether you will still be registered as a job seeker with Net Asset Value.

How To Submit

On the status form, you must state your work activities in the last 14 days and confirm that you will be registered with Net Asset Value in the next period. The information will be used to calculate your payment of employment and/or unemployment scheme.

It is essential that you fill out the employment status form correctly and turn it back in punctually. If you are late to submit your employment status, a deduction may be made from the calculation for your next employment status form.

Time Worked on Employment Status Form

If you have worked for a period of time in which the employment status form applies, you must state all the hours you have worked each day. This applies to every day of the week, including weekends, regardless of the time of day you’ve worked. One hour of work must be written as one hour of the employment status form.

As a general rule, you must always state the number of hours you have actually worked. Paid work must be stated for the period the work has been performed, even if your income is not received until later.

By the word “work”, it means activities that can generate income, such as:

  1. Work in regular employment
  2. Work in own enterprise
  3. Free work, when this work is commonly should be paid
  4. Hours you have been paid for, even when you are not working all the hours
  5. Commission sales, telemarketing
  6. Freelance work
  7. Salaried positions
  8. Hobby work, home parties

Keep in mind that if you are participating in part-time employment schemes or employment schemes with pay, you must contact the authorities about how to enter the hours on your employment status form as there are many ways to interpret. Make sure everything that’s written on your form has its validity confirmed.

If you have been granted work assessment allowance while establishing your own business, you must not enter the hours you spend on establishment of the business on the employment status form. You must not enter income from assets on your employment status form and the same applies to certain tax-exempt income.

Activities and Education

If you have agreed to participate in a course, education or other activities, you must state the days on which you have done the agreed activities. Agreed activities must be listed on the activity plan that is already confirmed.

If you join other activities than those you have agreed with, you must inform your adviser. The same applies if there are changes in the activities. This is because your right to work assessment allowance is linked to NAV having approved the activity in which you are participating.

If you have not carried out other activity you have agreed with, answer “no” to the question on your form. Your response to this question will not affect your allowance, as the intention is to find out whether you need changes in your activity plan.

However, if you have completed an education activity that you have not agreed with NAV, you must answer “yes” to the question and state to which days this applies.

The exception to a status form is for people who are receiving work assessment allowance for a 3-month period while seeking work. If you answer “no” in such a period, you will not receive more employment status forms, offers of work, participation in employment schemes or other help.

You may asked to be exempted from submitting a status form. Net Asset Value considers this individually, and they can only exempt you if you find it extremely difficult to fill out and / or submit your employment status form.If you are exempted from submitting the form, you still have an obligation to notify Net Asset Value of changes that may be significant.
